Titled “Through Many Dangers, Toils and Snares”, episode 2.14 picks up a few weeks after the midseason finale in the summer. After being arrested, Hanna, Aria, Spencer and Emily are forced to perform community service to get out of any harsher punishments after being arrested when the murder weapon that killed Alison had been dug up. “Community service” involves picking up trash around town, but it soon becomes clear that the horrible orange jumpsuits aren’t the only problem with this situation. The girls are no longer the close-knit group they once had been and Emily, in particular, is being picked on and ostracized. Meanwhile, Jackie continues her crusade to make Aria’s life miserable after confronting her about her relationship with Ezra. But when Ezra reaches his blackmail limit, he and Aria decide to tell her parents the truth about their relationship. Three guesses on how well that turns out. Caleb returns to town and Lucas has also made a reappearance on Pretty Little Liars.
